This is a lovely, moving tribute. Tricia, I still remember your dad's expression on your wedding day, when you and Sal were exchanging vows. He looked like the proud daddy (which I know he was) but also one who was a bit mystified, as in, 'Look at my little girl, all grown up and getting married.' At one point, he got teary-eyed. WHAT I LOVED MOST ABOUT MY DAD and what I think made him a great man and a great father is he had this special way of being strong and soft at the same time. He wasn't a man you wanted to mess with but at the same time he wasn't afraid to express or show his emotions. This is how I hope to raise my sons to be. Makes for a great man, husband and father.

Today it is five years since Dad's passing and I am just remembering him today and what a special person he was to me, what a great father and inspiration he was. I miss you Dad.

I remember Dad telling us girls that he taught John Travolta how to dance (around the time Saturday Night Fever came out). I believed this for the longest time...he was a pretty good dancer. haha I remember Dad teaching us girls( rather trying to teach us girls) how to Imperial style dance in his basement so that we could dance with our Grandpa Sal at their 50th wedding anniversary party.

I ho...

My dad gave the best hugs ever. I remember missing that so much when he got sick and was no longer able to reach his arms up to give hugs. His hugs just had a way of making you feel better, loved, and like everything was going to be okay. He also gave the greatest and best advice. And, my oh my do I wish he were here today cause God knows I could use some of his fatherly words of wisdom...
