My Story


And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away.

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" (John 11:25-26).

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints (Psalm 116:15).

Remembered Joy
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free!
I follow the plan God laid for me.
I saw His face, I heard His call,
I took His hand and left it all...
I could not stay another day,
To love, to laugh, to work or play;
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
And if my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss...
Ah yes, these things I, too, shall miss.
My life's been full, I've savoured much:
Good times, good friends, a loved-one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief—
Don't shorten yours with undue grief.
Be not burdened with tears of sorrow,
Enjoy the sunshine of the morrow.

I asked God for a flower, and he gave me a bouquet,
I asked God for a minute, and he gave me a day,
I asked God for love, and he gave me that too,
I asked God for an Angel, and he gave me you.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a 1,000 winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sun on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled light
I am the soft star that shines at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there; I did not die.

For Larry

It happened last year,
it happened so fast,
to someone so dear,
who has now passed.

The surgery was over,
it was now done,
a new day was dawning,
so out  came the sun.

Larry had suffered enough, it was time for his rest,
Don't worry, his spirit is blessed,
He will be with God, he will be okay,
God's taking him now, before they call it a day.

He will be one of God's angels, so sweet and so dear,
He'll no longer be sick, or alone, or afraid,
For Jesus is His Lord, the price He's paid,
For Larry to be here,
So, please don't fear.

He'll be well taken care of, in Heaven up above,
He'll be surrounded by love,
His spirit is at peace,
He's no longer ill,
So, My Child, be still,
and Know, where Love resides,
God is there, besides You.

No more crying, no more pain,
For in Heaven, Jesus does reign
He will be Larry's shephard,Larry will be one of  His sheep,
Jesus will now protect him,
So, Larry, go ahead and sleep.
