My daddy was  just a simple old southern boy,he grew up pulp wood logging and driving trucks. So whether it was over the road or local, He was a truck driver most all of his life. And a damn good one if i may say so. He loved his family,He would have given his life for any one of us, and would never had thought one second about it. He always said not to say how he was this saint that never did anything wrong, but he was a good man. He always helped people when he could,I can remember more than 3 occasions when we were witnesses to wrecks and he jumped out of our vehicle to go help the other people. So, he was not a selfish man. He loved Bluegrass music. He loved to hear a banjo and to listen to Ralph Stanley sing.He always made sure That me and my mom had what we needed and most of the time he made sure i had what i wanted....lol...And when his grandchildren came along,he loved them with everything he had in them And they loved him just as much. In his last 5 years or so he got very sick and   suffered a whole lot..   But Ray, in some small way it does our hearts good to know that your not in pain anymore and that you are resting. we miss you more than you will ever know and will never stop missing you.We would give anything in this world to have you back here with us,but that would be selfish. So, Me , Momma,Caitlin, And Charlie will be waiting on the day when we will get to see you again and Oh, what a wonderful day that will be!
