My Story

Lissa McKinney was born on January 22, 1968 and passed away in a tragic automobile accident on May 21st, 2013, due to collapsed lungs. Lissa, leaves behind two children, one Shane who is twenty years old, and a daughter, Lucy, who is nine years old. She is also leaving behind three sisters Gloria, Justine, and Camilla, and one brother, named Avery. Lissa attended South High school, and graduated with high marks, and became valedictorian of her class. After graduating high school she went on to attend Youngstown State University, where she got her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Technology, where she then went on to work as a kidney dialysis technician for over twelve years. Lissa was a very sweet and caring and compassionate woman who went over and beyond anything that she did for anyone. Whenever her  family needed her,she was always there. She always stressed how proud she was of her son and daughter, always stating how well they excelled in school. Lissa, also loved to shop, whenever she had the chance, and was always excited to be on the go, and loved to go to new places. Lissa loved fashion, and had an extreme sweet tooth, especially for her two favorite treats, which were jelly beans, and gummy bears. She also had an addiction for purses and shoes, if you were ever in her house you knew that she had enough pairs of shoes and purses, to change up and where a different one for every day of the year. Lissa always tried her best to show her family how much she loved them, and she usually did it by making her famous snicker doodle cookies, and gifts such as clothes, food, and other items her family wanted. If She would also go over and beyond if you remember at time at Christmas time she would decorate the house like it was a winter wonderland, and on Christmas morning, the entire living room would be overflowed with gifts for everyone, it's how she showed her love. Lissa will be dearly missed by her entire family, and was loved by many. The location of the spreading of the ashes will be set at a later date, as Lissa wished to be cremated, at her favorite place to be which is the park, we all hope she rests in dear peace.
