My Story

My Dad was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma in March 2000. For the next nine years he fought the most valiant battle against cancer. He withstood treatments that came very close to killing him. He never backed down - he never gave up - he always believed that there was a new treatment coming that was going to be the cure.

As NHL tends to do, he transformed into Myelodysplasia in late 2007 and then in April 2009, he transformed into a wicked form of leukemia that took his life in seven days.

There is a hole in my universe now. I am remain stunned and devastated to have lost my Dad. His truly was the inspiration for all that I do. He is the reason I completed 3 Team In Training events, the reason for being part of Light the Night and the driving force behind running for and winning Woman of the Year in 2008.

This page is in his memory. A place where all who loved him can go to remember and share.
