My Story

Jeremy was born March, 23, 1984.  He was pretty small, at  just over 6 pounds, compared to his big brother, who was over 8 pounds! He was so tiny, his daddy named him PEEP. Over the years, that nickname  evolved into PETE and became so widespread that many people who knew him didn't know that his name was Jeremy!
   Pete had alot of defects from what we later learned was called Polysplenia Syndrome. The most important defect was to his heart. He spent almost 2 years with many tests and close monitoring. At age 22 months, he had surgery to repair the heart defects. He did,nt do well after the surgery, but finally pulled through. He spent many years after that with much testing and monitoring of his heart, kidney, spine. Jeremy had a tough time of it through those years and all the medical trials he had to endure.  But he grew to be a happy, playful, joking boy with the best sense of humor. His many friends tell stories to no end of his pranks and jokes, always stating "Pete wasn't afraid of anything"!  Pete loved his friends.  Pete loved his big brother, and followed in his artistic footsteps. He loved to play with his sister, but as she got older and more spoiled, they fought all the time. Two spoiled kids, they were.
     Pete grew up into quite a great young man. He worked with the Greyhound racing dogs and loved  taking care of them. There, he met his love, Ashley. She brought Pete out of his shell and he really  grew into a man.  He was the happiest ever, after he met her. They shared something very special, and it shows in every picture of the two of them together.
     Pete will be missed by many forever.
