My Story

David Lee was born in Waterloo Iowa in 1948, he graduated from high school in 1966.  David had four children, John "Jay" ;son, Paula; daughter, Jodi;daughter, Malinda;daughter.  He was a very smart man and a hard worker, he worked at Vermeer in Pella Iowa at the time of his death.  David was 59 years old and happily married for about 30 years.  He has got two sisters and one brother, Julie, Tina, and Chris.
He had 8 grandkids, Joey, Micheal, Kanani, Jacob, McKenzie, Brianna, Mason, and Madelyn.

David was diagnosed of bladder cancer in Nov. 2006, he under went chemo and then had the tumor removed, after that he had his bladder removed around April of 2007.  He had a few good months in June and July but then in August he started to have alot of pain in his hip and back.  The doctors did every test possible and they all came back fine no cancer.  Well in Nov. 2007 his leg started to swell and hurt, to find out he had a blood clot in his right leg, after finding out about his blood clot the doctor wanted to run some more test so they did another CT and found two tumors, and the only thing they could do at this time was to give him chemo.  He did chemo for the month of Nov. and in Dec. he went back for another CT to see if the chemo was working well to our surprise it was not.  In fact to find out his tumor grew 30% more since Nov.  at this time the doctor said it was terminal and he had only months left to live, because of how fast it was spreading.  Then one week later he got really sick to where he could hardly get out of bed.  The next week he got so bad he was not responding and he didn't eat or drink, or talk.  Exactly one week later he passed on.
