My Story

Christopher Wayne-Allen Barnard was born on August 19, 2003, to his parents Floyd Moore and Roxann Barnard in Claremore, Oklahoma.
Since the day he was born, he brought happiness into my life. He was always well behaved, you could take him ANYWHERE! He loved to play outside, and he also loved to play Super Mario Galaxy for Wii.
He loved to watch TV before bedtime. He would make me stay up all night with him to watch George Lopez on Nick at Nite.
Christopher was always very sweet and caring. Whenever I cried, he would run upstairs to the bathroom, and bring me a random box of tissues. He would always say,  "Come onn Shane, don't cryy!"
Then, he would say, "come hairr Shane, come(Come here Shane, come.)"   So, I would come over to him, and he would whisper in my ear, "I waaaaa youuuu(I love you.)"    That always made me happy.
Christopher had me wrapped around his little finger. There wasn't anything on Earth I wouldn't do for my baby cousin. I loved him so much, and I always will, until the day I die, and in the afterlife.
As much as I miss my baby cousin, Christopher, he is always in my heart, I think about him every second of everyday, and I know he is happy in Heaven, playing with all the angels.
Christopher left this world on April 28, 2008, when his mother Roxann met a man named Steven Locklear. Steven and Roxann would beat Christopher for soiling his pants, because he was afraid of Steven. I remember when Christopher was at my house, then I was going to bring him back home, but he said to me, "But....I don't wanna go home."
I know why he didn't want to go home now, if only I could have kept him in my house where he could have been safe, but in Oklahoma, grandparents, relatives such as aunts and uncles, and etc, have no rights for their grandchildren/nieces/nephews/etc. So, as much as I wanted Christopher to be safe with us, he could't. I don't like to say stuff like this, but I don't think the DHS did their job. They could have helped Christopher, they could have saved my little buddy......
Rest in Heavenly Peace, My best friend Christopher, you are missed so much that it hurts, but I know you are happy where you are, in the clouds, over the rainbow, where you are no longer seen, but you are never forgotten.
I love you always, I'll be with you soon, buddy :) <3
From,
Your big cousin Shane.
