My Story

This tragic story of Bradley McGee began in 1987. Now, over 20 years later, February, 2008 it continues on in the news and in our lives. Bradley died needlessly. He was a victim of child abuse from his mother and stepfather. He has a baby brother who has repeatedly been removed from, and returned to, their mother; Sheryl Coe Hardy. Currently, Braddie's brother is in the custody of Randy Hardy and Sheryl Coe Hardy. Whatever happens, it's never over because Bradley, and his brother, will never be forgotten, and justice will continue to be sought for his brother. Thank you and God bless... My name is Braddie. I came to you on June 6, 1987. I was left with a lady in a mall who was a pretzel vendor. When my parents didn't return for me, she took me to a big place called a hospital. They were nice and helped me. I was in the "system" most of my life. The day came when I got to go live with Kip. I still think she was my real Mom cause she was so nice and took good care of me. Then, 66 days before I died, someone made me go back and live with the people who left me in the mall; my mom and stepdad.  My photo shows me 68 days before I died; BEFORE I was sent back to live with them. They hurt me alot, but on July 27 I did something really bad because they had to "teach me a lesson." I didn't mean to be bad. I had an accident in my diaper. I couldn't help it. My ankles were held while my head was plunged into the toilet several times by my stepdad. My mom sat there, smoked a cigarette, and watched as he plunged. Then they put me in a cold shower. My mom covered my mouth so I couldn't scream. Next, they marched me into the living room and hit me with pillows until I fell to the floor. I possibly had a seizure. I left you and became an angel on July 28, 1989. I was 2-years-old.
   My stepdad is still in a Florida prison. My mom was supposed to be in prison for 30 years. But 9 years after she was there, she was released. That was in July, 1999. I heard they let her leave cause they didn't have enough room for her. Do you think that is true? When I was on earth, I heard people say that those prison places are really big. My mom moved back to Jerseyville, Illinois. She got married again and had another baby boy. He used to live with some nice people, too, just like me. But in November, 2001, a judge made my brother go back and live with our mom. That's what happened to me, too. What if my mom does the same things to him that she did to me?  I am safe now, but what if he's not?

   The things I do now are different from the things I did on earth. I used to play with toys, eat birthday cake, and visit Santa. Now I swing on stars and sleep on clouds. I talk to Jesus, too. Do you?
