My Story

                                                                  ALEXANDER  WILSON
                                                                               (SANDY)

Sandy  was born  into a  Travelling Family  on 12th January 1942 in a tent under an Old Oak Tree
on the banks of the River Leven Balloch Scotland,  I guess thats why he loved Scotland so much and never ever felt the need to leave his beloved Scotland .

He was a very kind and caring Man and he  was married to Mamie and had 6 children,  10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren,

He was a man of the outdoors and he loved his fishing and taking off with his caravan when ever the fancy took him.
He loved Scottish Folk  Music and Country Music , he could put his hand to play almost any   instrument  Guitar , Banjo ,chanter, penny whistle , and Mouth organ.
It wasnt till nearly  2years ago he took his first stroke  then in that time tragedy struck the family when his youngest son Nelson took his own life at the age of 33 on June 12th 2006, As like his Father Nel could also play just about any instrument  both without a musical lesson  in their lives  the talent was  just there .He never got over this as Nel was his fishing partner and they seemed to go nearly everywhere together  but when Nel left to stay in Cambelltown this is when he took a deep depression  leaving 2 young sons .
When Nel Died  part of Sandy died with him,
He then took a stroke , then went on to take 3 more till he took a massive stroke and was hospitalized for 11wks.
During these weeks he couldnt  , walk  speak, see, or swallow. He never recovered.
He fought hard  and finally lost his battle against pnuemonia on 3rd April 2008

We all totally miss him  the house is not the same infact our family has a huge  huge gap in it now both of them have passed .
