My Story

Ronald Maurice True was born in Los Angeles, CA to Sandra "Djai) Dillard. A son of "youth", he was estranged from his biological father Darryl Demas and was raised in Denver, CO by Oscar True during his young years and Richard Kirk during his teen years. All three of these dads played an important role in Ron's life making Ron a fun, generous and charismatic young man. Ron has a sister, Tammy True, 11 months younger and both born in May. They often teased each other that they were both the same age for 3 weeks out of each year.  Ron's passion has always been cars since the age of 14 years old. He was constantly finding "deals" with no engines and would drag each one to the house to build the car of his dreams.  He was an expert in diagnostics and rebuilding engines.  Ron was a loyal friend and established several strong relationships over the years.  He met his wife and soul mate Claire Makawa in 1998 and the couple had an informal wedding, April, 1998 and a formal wedding in December of that same year. Ron was extrememely proud of his children Reginald Maruice 12, Andrew Cameron 7, and Aaron Tyler True 2.  Ron's favorite sport was car racing and he built a 1969 RoadRunner to fulfill his dream of one day entering with the pros.

Ron's strong work ethic gave him a variety of excellent experience including managing big chain auto parts stores. Ron moved his family to Las Vegas, NV where he got into the booming construction field. ABC, a national entity spronsored him and Ron studied thru extreme physical adversity to become an electrician. He was an apprentice when he succombed to illness with only 1 quarter away from graduation (December 2010).

Ron had an extended family - his beloved niece Jazmin Djai 18 and Dominic J'van 16 (Tammy's children). He helped raise them and was very involved in their daily lives and activities.  Ron's favorite pastime was cooking (barbequeing) for his family and friends on weekends and holidays.   He was very traditional in his ways after growing up with aunts, Linda Journey (Columbia, MO) and Donna Hall (Alexandria VA). He was much loved by a huge family of great uncles and aunts, and cousins. Tchad Marshall and family, Dyneen Shocks and family, Niki Hall, Jenny and Gerald, Skye Hall-Willis, Paul Hall, Leo Marshall, Philip, Ronny, Tommy and Patricia Halfacre.... His Grandfather, Edward Dillard of Denver, CO and so many more too numerous to mention.

Ron was dedicated to his mom and very close to her and his grandmother, Marjorie Dillard. He was devastated by the tragic pedestrian accident that took his grandmother away at the early age of 64.  Ron gained spiritual insight and strength through these two women in his life and gave his life to the LORD JESUS CHRIST at an early age, later renewing that commitment in 2008. He loved the WORD of GOD, and shared the WORD with his precious young family.

The most urgent and important question on Ron's heart and in his thoughts toward the end of his precious hours on earth was that he wanted to make sure he was going to heaven and could "feel the LORD'S presence".  It was the "hardest thing" faith challenge of his life due to the physical suffering he endured during those last few weeks of his life here on earth.

Ron stayed on this WORD - Romans 8:18 "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed in us."  And, "If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he will also deny us."  2 Timothy 2:12.  Ron was greatly blessed by The 700 Club ministry and received a healing thru that ministry in 2008 - a vital part of his victorious testimony for Christ!  "And they overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testamony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." Revelations 12:11

We thank GOD through our LORD and Savior JESUS CHRIST that Ron is healed, alive and well and is basking in the Love, Comfort, Joy and Peace of His new life in CHRIST in Paradise!

"Thou will show me the path of life; In thy presence is fullness of joy, and at thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore." Psalm 16:11 KJV
