My Story

"Purity" is the name I have used here for a memorial to a child I never knew but wish I had. Her name is Shellay Ward. Shellay was just 7 years old when she died. Shellay was murdered. I wish I could have saved her and all the other children who have died because those who should have protected them didn't.

                                          Precious little Purity now in Gods loving arms
                                          I wish I could have spared you
                                          The pain of all inflicted harms
                                          Our paths never crossed I wish that wasn't so
                                          I learned about the worlds loss
                                          Through papers, the media and a radio
                                          I'm sorry society failed you from cradle to grave
                                          Seven years of barbaric horror
                                          "Purity" you were the bravest of the brave
                                          Your name Shellay, is not lauded often now
                                           Trust me though I won't let society forget
                                           From me to you .... my solemn vow.
