My Story

Midge is the only daughter of Ida & Gusta Menefee from Pricketts Fort, Later to relocate to Sugarlane in Rivesville, W.va, Midge had 1 sibling "Perry" Menefee, the oldest of the children of Perry & Ida. Midge grew up as a coal miners daughter. Her Father was a hard working man, who lost his Mother when he was 5 yrs. old while he was living in Cool Springs, W.va, at that time Gusta( "Perry") "Perry" began to work in the coal mines when he turned just 6 yrs. old. Gusta work in the Grantown mines and provided for his family, That money he earned raised Midge, and his son Perry up also provided a good life for his wife Ida,while working in the Grantown mines, Ida was able to spend time raising her children, she was a housewife and Mother, Marilyn married a Sawitski man, when she was 17 yrs. old,and moved to Baltimore while in her early teens, later to divorce Stanley Sawitski, and return to Rivesville with her family again, sometime later a few years, she traveled to San Antoinio Texas, with her cousin Patty Kisner, found work there and started life anew in Texas at that point in her life she married a gentleman named Ronald Dunning, had a child named Debra Dunning, 20 years later Ronald divorced Marilyn, after some infidelity issues on Ronald`s part, while Ronald was away that Midge found out about, so Midge made her journey back to W.va with her Mother, and found her own way to getting work and standing alone, several months later Ronald sent Midge divorce papers, so it was final.. Divorced..
Midge at that point lost her Mother a few months after that, then some years again lost her brother, which Midge took care of her Mom & brother during both of their sickness, Her Mom health was with her heart and her brother had cancer, after the loss of her brother Midge managed to remodel the home she had been left by her Mother & brother, and purchased the home across from that one and foyunded a care home in it, taking care of, several people in fairmont, providing a wonderful living for her self, she at that time remarried a Gentleman Ralph Cutright, a retired coal miner, Ralph had no children, and was a mild mannered person, calm and gentle, Ralph passed away a few years after they were married, Midge remained to stay widowed.

Her passing has taken the family by suprise, and was very unexpected, as she had just had a doctors report and was doing great,  she was a legacy to her grand children and family. she will be sadly missed and always thought of, may God bless her soul.
