My dad was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (Bone Cancer) on April 9th, 2006. He had been having shoulder pain for many years and swelling that seemed to never go down. He got some tests done and they determined that he had high grade osteosarcoma. He did several rounds of chemo and then the doctor decided to do a wide resection of the tumor (8/30/06), followed by more chemo. In November it looked like he has swelling in his chest wall but the doctor thought it was re-positioning. Then he later in February, 2007 found a knot in his arm and went to the doctor and got more tests. The tests were not good. The cancer had spread to his arm, chest wall and his lungs. The did cyber-knife radiation and he got burned and his tumor burst through the skin. He was losing his battle and losing it fast. His blood counts went down and would not come back up. He was so weak he could only whisper. Then on July 16th, 2007. He lost his battle with cancer. He went home to be with Jesus. It was peaceful and without pain. May he rest in peace. We will never forget the fun times we had with you. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. We are happy we got the time we did to spend with you before you were called home. We all miss you more then words could ever say and will remember the good times we shared.
