My Story

Jose  was born in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala.  He brought so much happiness to all of us.  He was  so adorable and cute.  He had the chubbiest cheeks. Everyone loved him so much.  He had a lot of fun with his cousins in Guatemala.  Came to Vancouver in 1995 and started pre-school that year and learned English very fast.  He was a happy kid through his childhood.  Jose played and laughed a lot.  I can remember him being happy all the time with a big smile on his face.  He then moved to Abbotsford where he went to Elementary, Middle and Secondary school.  He had fun  and happiness filled days.
He met a lot of friends on the way to High School.  He was a great friend; always caring, loving, willing, and  so many other wonderful qualities.  He enjoyed playing hockey, camping trips, science,  making people laugh, and so many wonderful things.
He was an amazing brother, son, friend, human being.
His last days he spent a lot of time with his family and friends.
I remember that last day;  Jose came back from Vancouver.  After a long day at work he sat on the couch and watched tv, so we joined him.  He was happy and joking as usual.  We were all happy to be there together.  I went out with my sister and my son and he didn't want to go but he asked if we could buy him a Cotton Candy Blizzard.  He did eat his blizzard that night but he didn't get to finish it; he left half for the next day.
Jose left the house feeling happy and loved by  his family.  I'm sure he knew how his friends love him too.
We miss him dearly.  We know he is at peace.

Jose always was a source of happiness and joy. He brought joy, happiness and love to us during a very sad time in our lives, the death of our father. I believe that we all come to live on this earth with a purpose. Unfortunately sometimes that purpose has to end too soon. Jose made not only my family happy but a lot of people he met on his journey. He loved to make jokes and make people laugh. He was so caring. He was affected if he saw people suffer. You could see it in his eyes. Jose was very respectful and polite. He always wanted to try new things and was excited about life. He had a lot of aspirations and goals for his life. Passionate about his friends and family. He was really good with kids. He just loved life. Very easy going personality. He would befriend everyone he met.
