 In Loving Memory of a "Good, Kind and Honest Man"

Jonathan Rex Cordell

Born: July 20, 1976 in Hialeah, Florida. On June 6, 2005 in Spanish Fork, Utah Jon left this world to be with his beloved mother Suzanne Farley Cordell.

Funeral Services were held on June 11, 2005 at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel in St. George, Utah. Jon was layed to rest next to his mother Suzanne on June 15, 2005 at the Glendale Christian Church Cemetery in Glendale, Kentucky.

Jonathan was 28 when he left us. He was formerly from Elizabethtown, KY.  His interests included Scouting, in which he earned the rank of Eagle Scout> He also enjoyed Television , Radio Broadcasting, the love of music, playing the piano and trombone. He also had a beautiful singing voice. He also loved flying and learned to fly at 10 years old. He eventually went to flight director school and attended Dixie college. He served in the United States Navy from 1995-1997. He was stationed in Groton, Ct and then transferred to Norfolk, Va. He also worked for Metcalf Mortuary located in St. George, UT.

He was preceded in death by his mother Suzanne Farley Cordell, his grandparents Rex and Mary Sue Farley. At the time of his death his father James A. Cordell of Chino, CA survived him. His father passed in 2009. Jonathan is also survived by his son Nathan Rex  Cordell who resides with his mother Catrina of Jewett City, CT, two brothers James A. Cordell Jr and Gary D Cordell, three sisters Linda R Hess, Robyn D Baggs and Claudia D Shaw all of Utah. Jonathan also had several nieces and nephews.

Jonathan's daughter who was unborn at the time of his death was born Oct. 2005 Tessa Suzanne Bott who also resides in Utah with her mother Emilie.
