SMITH Henry "Hank" Smith, age 53, of Columbus, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 23, 2011. He fought a long courageous battle with liver cancer. He was born in Dearborn Heights, MI, and raised in Whitmore Lake, MI. Henry was preceded in death by his parents Theresa and Donald Smith of MI. Henry is survived by, Cynthia Smith wife; daughters, Valerie Bachus, of Columbus and Emily Smith, of MI; former wife, Elizabeth Olson of MI; Pat and Irene Bruen, adoptive parents, of MI; Cindi (Joe) McNealy, sister, of CA; Scott Smith, brother, of CA; Conor Lucchesi, nephew, of CA; Lynn Rojewski, Ted (Diana) Steffke, Jim Steffke, cousins, of MI; and many beloved friends. He was employed as a chief at a Michigan Country Club for many years. He loved spending time with his family, friends, four dogs and bird. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, fishing, writing poetry and his Scottish heritage. After cremation, a memorial service will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011, 2-4 p.m. Grove City Church of Nazarene.
