My Story

Dorothy married Russ Fiorini in 1949 in Schnectady NY and they moved to Amsterdam NY around 1956 where they raised their three children; Bob, Toni, and Sally (Sarah).   Russ, who predeceased her, was a Big Band musician who played the saxaphone & clarinet professionally.   Dorothy worked in sales for many years, most of that time she worked at Greenspan's Childrens Clothing Store in Amsterdam.    

In 1987? Dorothy married Dr Leo Freydberg of ?? Florida where she resided until his death in 1990?.   

In ? Dorothy moved to Barrington NH where she lived for several years with her dearest friend, Virginia Turner.  They lived life to the fullest and loved shopping, dining out with their friends, and playing cards every week with Virginia's family.  Both of them had a sense of humor and their laughter was contagioius.  They were up for any adventure and had many friends who enjoyed their company.   Dorothy then moved to an apartment at the Elderly Housing Center in Dover NH.  Her daughter Sarah and husband Jim also lived in Dover with their two daughters Amanda and Ashley.  Dorothy cherished the time she had with them while living in Dover.  She would escape the harsh winters by staying her daughter Toni in North Carolina.  Her move to NC became permanent in 2005 where she lived with Toni and her husband Jim until her death. 

Dorothy has six grandchildren: Bob's children, BJ Fiorini & Christina Fiorini; Toni's children, Curtis & Adam Fenimore; and Sarah's children, Amanda & Ashley DeGazio.  She has three great grandchildren: BJ & Kate Fiorini's children: Miles, Isaih & ??.

She loved her border collie "Shep" & he was devoted to Grandma.  They had a special bond & he was totally devoted to her & continues to look for her each day.
