My Story

Sheila was a very special person.  We didn't always see things eye to eye but no matter what she was always there to listen.  Growing up, Sheila loved playing basketball.  She played all the way up through her senior year in high school.  Sheila went on to college where she met some wonderful people & stayed friends with over the years.  After college she moved back to Minot & married.  She had 2 wonderful children as a result of that marriage.  During that time, Sheila enjoyed being in the Christmas in the barn program that they did every year.  Every fall she was there to help her dad with driving the tractors thru the Makoti Threshing Show.  She lived to come down & help those 2 days every year.   She later divorced and was much happier than she had been in a long time.  She had her children with her & yet she was free of the terrible things that had taken place.   She was one of the many people who have left this world with all the right things.  She loved her children very much & she was truly happy.  She believed in God & chose to hold tight to that bond even when things got bad.  In some ways you could say she was my hero for that.  If I had half as much faith as she did, I would be doing great.  She was a very smart person.  She graduated from college with a business degree & she used that knowledge to help her make some wise investments.  Sheila left behind a lot of people who loved her dearly & will always love and miss her.  She was taken tragically from this world.  She was driving down the highway not a care in a world.  Then someone hit a deer and it flew up & thru the windshield of the pickup she was driving.  In that instance our whole lives changed.  She didn't have much of a chance and God saw how hurt she was & called her home to him.  She touched a lot of people's lives and will never be forgotten.
