My Story

This memorial page was set up for my sister June, whom sadly lost her life in a tragic road accident on 2nd October 2002.

June was born on the 4th June 1983 and was brought up in a village called Gowran in Co. KIlkenny, Ireland. June went to national school in gowran and attended secondary school in goresbridge. Just before June passed away she was doing a childcare course in St. Catherines in Co. Carlow.

There was 5 of us altogether, June had 1 brother and 1 sister... she was the baby of the family.. in other words June got everything!!!! It was a major problem growing up in the house where the baby of the family was spoilt and got everything they asked for..... but yet if I could have her back today I'd give her everything also... but thats life isn't it.

At the age of 16 June was like every other 16year old..... she loved all boybands such as backstreet boys, boyzone, westlife etc.etc. She had boyband posters on her bedroom wall of the hot boybands!! she also loved going to the school discos and going out with her friends. There was 1 friend she particularly like going out with and tha was lorraine kelly... Lorraine and June were like 2 peas in a pod, from a baby age these two were the best of friend and also next door neightbours.

At the age of 17 June gave birth to a gorgeous little boy 8lbs 4oz... June was so devoted to her son, she lived evey day of her life that she had left for dylan. I can remember her saying to me 1 time in her exact words " I can't wait until he's walking and I can put him into a pair of Nike trainers and O'Neill bottoms"!!!! everything was only going to be the best for him!!!

On the morning of the 2nd October 2002, June and Dylan were travelling home from graiguenamagh, co. kilkenny. On Junes journey return home, unfortunately she met with a Lorry on a bad road and they had a head on collision with a lorry at approximately 12:55pm....... June was pronounced dead at the scene....She was only 19 years of age, But miraculously Dylan survived the accident, he was only 18mths at the time, and my mum and dad take care of Dylan full time now, my mum looks at it as having a part of June with her all the time.

There's not a day goes by that I don't think about my sister, I miss you so much june.x.x.x
