Jody Was born on Aug 13 1975 to Sharon Hartwell Smith and Larry E Smith. He Worked for Dollar Genral and was loved by all who knew him. Jody was the proud father of 4 children. Devin, Deseray, Destiny, And Kerstin. He grew up in Addison Ny and lived in Bath NY for many years. he moved to Florida as he loved the sun and the beaches. He loved to fish and was an awsome drummer. Jody had 4 siblings, Tracey Smith, Lonny Smith , Krystal Smith -Skala, Larry william Smith, he had many nieces and Nephews, Amber Wood, Nichole (Jessica) Wood, Clarissa Wood, Zachary Wood, Trisha Smith -Root who is in Hevean with her uncle Jody, Eric Wright , Sarah Wright Amy L Smith, Wyatt Neally, Anastacia Smith , Shyila Smith And Aaron Smith . His mon Sharon Pased away 1 year after he did she is in heavean with him aswell looking down and watching over us. Jody was an amazing person and he was my lilttle brother. JODY EDWIN SMITH, 27, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at Lee Memorial Hospital, Fort Myers, FL.
He was born August 13, 1975 in Corning, New York and moved to Port Charlotte 2 years ago from Smithfield, NC. He was a manager with Dollar General Stores.
Survived by his wife, Jennifer R. Smith of Zebulon, NC; three daughters, Kerstin Smith of Zebulon, NC, Destiny and Deseray Smith both of Hammondsport, NY; a son, Devin Smith of Hammondsport, NY; a sister, Tracy Wright of Corning, NY; a half-sister, Crystal D. Smith of Fort Pierce, FL; a brother, Lonny Smith of Port Charlotte; a half-brother, Larry W. Smith of Fort Pierce, FL; mother, Sharon H. Smith of Corning, NY; father, Larry Smith of Galeton, PA; and friend, Edward J. Palmer, Jr. of Port Charlotte.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday 6:00 PM, March 13, 2003 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Rev. James R. Kuse of the Port Charlotte United Methodist Church will officiate.
