My Story

Clifford Junior Pugh, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away, at the age of 85, on Sunday, November 24, 2013 in Morgantown, West Virginia.  He passed away on the day of Christ the King, and this thanksgiving the family gives thanks for the life and love of Clifford Junior.  He was born in Springhill Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania on May 14, 1928 to parents Andrew Rayman Pugh and Nellie May (Robinson) Pugh.  He married the love of his life, June Blaney on March 6, 1948.  Clifford Junior was a proud coal miner, with over 48 years of coal mining in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.  He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA).  He loved working with family in the hayfield, planthing his garden, and he dreamed of what he would plant the next Spring.  Clifford's bold laughter, strong spirit, vibrant character and unconditional love is now remembered by all of those who knew him and loved him dearly.  He is survived by his wife of 65 years, June (Blaney) Pugh of Morgantown; daughter, Lana Pugh Bostwick and her husband Randy Bostwick of Tyrone, Georgia; granddaughter, Meredith Bostwick-Lorenzo Eiroa and her husband Pablo Lorenzo-Eiroa of New York, New York; granddaughter, Melanie Bostwick of Chicago, Illinois; and brother, Eugene Pugh and his wife Irmadell (Adams) Pugh of Morgantown.  Deceased are his brothers and sisters: Arlie Pugh, Carl Pugh, Pauline (Pugh) Lyons, Anna Marie (Pugh) Kingan, Edna (Pugh) Ciekala, and Mildred (Pugh) Cimmello.  Those desiring may offer memorial donations to the Calvary Baptist Church Sanctuary Fund.  Calvary Baptist Church is located at 519 Burroughs Street, Morgantown, West Virginia, 26508.  (304-599-2505).
