Brandon Walker Holland, 22, of 5224 Brogden Road, Smithfield died Monday, August 5, 2013 at his home. The son of Paul Walker Jr. and Betty Joyce Perkins Holland was born April 18, 1991 in Roanoke, Virginia.

The funeral service will be Friday, August 9, 2013 at Casey Funeral Home Chapel at 7:00 pm with the Reverend Teresa Wilson and Reverend Alex Bullard officiating.
He is survived, in addition to his parents by: brothers, Marcus Blake Holland of Clayton; Dennis Maxey of Roanoke, Virginia; Matthew Sterling Holland of Michigan, Forrest Holland of Roanoke, Virginia; stepbrother, Michael Moore of Roanoke, Virginia; sisters, Davida (DeeDee) Settles of Roanoke, Virginia; Melissa Renee Lajoie of Martinsville, Virginia, stepsisters, Jamey Arthur of Bedford, Virginia, Jackie Trussler of Bedford, Virginia; a maternal grandmother, Edith M. Perkins of Roanoke, Virginia; loving aunt, Linda Chocklett of Roanoke, Virginia.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 9, 2013 at Casey Funeral Home Chapel.

Although flowers are welcome, the family requests contributions be made to Casey Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

Brandon went to Clayton High and graduated in 2009. He later went to Johnston Community College and worked at Johnston Memorial Hospital as an Emergency Room Nurse Technician. Brandon was also a beautiful, fabulous, homosexual, energetic, cheerful man. He always made his friends laugh. His best friend was Jessica Jones.

Brandon died of unknown causes; he had been having headaches for a long time and went to sleep on August 5th, 2013 and never woke up. His body has been sent for an autopsy to University of North Carolina and results will arrive in a few weeks.

Many are saddened by his death, and many are in shock and disbelief. Throughout his life, Brandon created many smiles, laughter and good memories. He was also an artist and enjoyed painting. He stayed with his parents to care for them, even with his declining health. He loved the summer and going to the beach with his friends.

Brandon Holland will always be remembered as the bubbly guy he was. Rest In Peace Brandon, you are already missed.
