My Story

On Wednesday, March 31, 2010 I lost the love of my life, my beautiful angel, Luis Arturo Camarena, also known as MAKE IT HAPPEN. Luis was only 24 years old. He had just celebrated his 24^th birthday Sunday, March 14, 2010. Luis was ONLY 24 YEARS OLD and accomplished so much within his short time here on earth. During his high school years Luis was enrolled in work experience. He would go to school for his morning classes and right after his last class he would go to Burger King located in Miami International Airport to work. After graduating high school Luis went off to Miami Dade College and graduated with his AA in Business. In the mean time he took the State Exam for Real Estate and passed it the first time. Luis, along with his family bought his first house in 2005 and put $8000 down for his own pocket. While being a realtor and a mortgage broker Luis also had a part time job at night at Costco. Luis was full of life and always grinding as he would say to make it happen for himself and most of all for his family. His main priority was to take care of his family. His family meant everything to him. He worked very hard to get to where he was until his last breathe. Luis was one of the best things that ever happen to me. He opened my eyes and heart to many things that I did not know of. I never really knew great people like him really existed. I did not know this type of love existed. I did not know that these feelings could grow within me. I never met someone as dedicated as Luis. He was so passionate about his job. Luis would literally text me in the middle of the night to tell me how many houses he found on the MLS for his clients. Toward the end of Luis’s life everything was coming together so well. He had constant calls from people that wanted to buy houses. Luis had just bought his car. He was only able to enjoy his new car for 13 days. He was so excited to finally have his own car and paid off. I will never forget the day that he came to my house to show me his car. He was like a little boy in a candy store, so happy and excited, with his big beautiful smile. His hard work paid off. I remember being so jealous and saying “I want it.” And of course Luis looked at me and said “Mami, you can use it whenever you want.” He was always so sweet and thoughtful. I still cannot believe he is no longer here today. I cannot believe that I will never be able to share my life with him. I cannot believe my dreams with Luis have been crushed. Never in a million years did I ever think such a tragedy could occur to one of my loved ones. Luis was beautiful inside and out. He had a heart of GOLD!!! He only knew what hardworking hands were. He never saw the bad in people. He always gave everyone the benefit of the doubt.

These are just some thoughts that live within my heart and mind..
I miss you terribly and I cannot wait to see you again!
I love you with all my heart, I love you with all that I am, and I love you with all I will be!!!
