My Story

Jay was born May 30, 1973 in Lawrence the son of Jay Dee Dolan and Candace Marie (James) Dolan. 

He worked at Hallmark Cards, Inc. as a forklift operator in the warehouse for 22 years.

He enjoyed playing Texas Hold'em Poker, he enjoyed watching sports, especially the St. Louis Rams and KU basketball.

Survivors include his mother, Candace and stepfather, Rick Thompson; grandparents Pete and Mary James; goddaughter, Raven Rolland; stepbrother, Anthony (Kristi) Thompson; niece, Laci; and his Hallmark family. He was preceded in death by his father, Jay.
