My Story

Clinton Frank Berry was born to Lynne and Frank Berry on 2nd November 1968 at home in Vange, Essex. He was younger brother to Louisa. Clint was the most beautiful baby boy with white blond hair and amazing blue eyes, looks he never lost.

Clint had a happy childhood with lots of memories of lovely times shared with his family. Family was everything to Clint. He adored both his parents and even as an adult, there was not a day went by when he didn't speak with them and home was always where they were.

Clint was always sports mad from a very young age. West Ham were his heroes and every season he would develop his football nose twitch, something we never let him forget! Clint was also a great cyclist and rode and won medals for Southend and County Wheelers. He loved cars and motor sport, like his dad, nothing stopped for F1, even weddings!

Clint was a real people person and made some great friendships in his lifetime. His friends were like family and he would have given them the shirt from his back. If you worked alongside Clint he would have looked out for you like a brother. No one could have been more loyal than Clint.

Clint was an uncle to Lucy, Sarah, Tom and Hazel. All four looked up to Clint and he could do no wrong to them. They loved it when "Aunty" Clinty was around- he was the coolest uncle ever. His car, clothes and even his dance moves were the best.

Clint worked as a delivery driver for TNT and it was whilst working for them that he was taken ill. Clint had been feeling ill for a short time and on Saturday 10th November 2007 a colleague had found Clint slumped at the wheel of his car. An ambulance was called and he was taken to Chase Farm hospital, Enfield. Sadly, at some point during the next couple of days Clint suffered a massive stroke. By the Sunday it was confirmed and Clint was moved to intensive care. We had 12 days more with Clint with all his family and partner at his side.

We hope and pray that Clint knew we were all with him when he finally lost his fight for life on 23rd November 2007. No man could have been so loved and will continue to be loved until the day we meet with him again.

It's My Time

Where do we go when it's time to leave?
It's my time.
Through the tunnel of light, where it's clear and bright.
It's my time.
My friends are all waiting on the other side,
I'm a little bit scared, but my angel's at my side.
It's my time.

I know you'll cry,
But it's my time.
I know you'll be wondering 'Why, why, why?'
But it's my time.
I can't stay on Earth where my work is done.
Heaven is great, I'm happy and it's fun.
It's my time.

I'll always love you and you'll always love me,
But it's my time.
Never forget me, but I want you to move on,
'Coz it's my time.
All good things must come to an end,
You're in my heart, and you'll always be my friend,
But it's my time.

Although we must part it's only for a while.
It's not your time.
Make me proud as you carry on.
It's not your time.
I'll wait for you till you're old and grey,
I'm sorry that you have to stay.
It's not your time.

Life is precious and although it's not the same,
It's not your time.
Life will go on, I think you'll find,
It's not your time.
I want you to promise that while I am away
You'll love one another, I hope and pray ... you'll
understand, my darling,
It's my time, it's my time ... it's my time.

Jacky Newcomb

Right now I’m in a different place
And though we seem apart
 I’m closer than I ever was…
I’m there inside your heart
I’m with you when you greet each day
And while the sun shines bright
I’m there to share the sunsets, too …
 I’m with you every night
